About this event
Ever since Tosa Day was established on October 3, 2007, through the Tosa Day Declaration, it has been held annually on this date to deepen affection for Kochi Prefecture and bring together the passion and pride of the Tosa people. This year's theme is 'Happiness Comes from Connections,' aiming to forge meaningful relationships through Tosa Day. The event consists of two parts. Part 1, titled 'Future Conference for Creating a Bright Kochi,' features a free symposium and panel discussion discussing the release of the 2026 GKH (Gross Kochi Happiness) survey results and initiatives to enhance community well-being. Part 2 features the 'Shin Tosa Day: Grand Tosa Banquet' with a participation fee of 12,000 yen, where participants can deepen connections while enjoying delicious cuisine and carefully selected Tosa sake. Warmly welcoming participants from outside Kochi Prefecture and new residents alike, it promises to be a day to experience happiness through new encounters and friendships. Admission to Part 1 is determined by lottery due to capacity limits, with priority given to those also attending Part 2.
