About this event
Held in Kami City, the home of Tosa forged cutlery, Cutlery Festival & Yamada Scarecrow Contest 2026 is an event where you can simultaneously enjoy a cutlery market featuring knives and sickles carefully hand-forged by blacksmiths, and a contest where unique scarecrows crafted by local residents compete. At the venue, exhibition sales of Tosa forged cutlery will be held, allowing you to pick up and inspect a wide variety of cutlery. A sharpening service for cutlery you bring (paid) will also be offered. In addition, gourmet booths gathering delicious foods from the Monobe River basin will be set up, with charcoal BBQ of rare Tosa Akaushi beef being a particular highlight. A free shuttle bus is scheduled to operate to the venue from JR Tosa-Yamada Station.
