The Chikugogawa Marathon 2026 is a marathon event held on Sunday, November 1, 2026, in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The course runs along the paved cycling road on the Chikugo Riverbed, featuring a flat route with minimal elevation changes and few sharp curves, making it easy to aim for good race times. Many runners, from beginners to experienced athletes, participate. The time limits are generous—4 hours for the half marathon and 2 hours for the 10km—allowing participants to run comfortably at their own pace. Categories include the half marathon, 10km, 5km, 3km, and 1.5km, open to entries from a wide range of age groups and skill levels. Participants are scheduled to receive a muffler towel as a participation gift, and race bibs with timing chips will be sent in advance for smooth access to the venue on race day. The riverside area of Kurume City Hyakunen Park serves as the start and finish point on the day of the event.
