About this event
Held in 2026 (Reiwa 8), the 39th Kurume City Furusato Mizuma Festival is the largest autumn festival in the Mizuma area of Kurume City. Celebrating its 39th anniversary this year, the event integrates various activities previously organized by local commerce and industry associations, agricultural cooperatives, women's associations, cultural associations, and other organizations. At the venue, a variety of stage events including music, dance, and Yosakoi will unfold. In addition, there will be an extensive local specialty market offering delicious food, sake, and local specialties from the Chikugo area. About 50 food trucks and retail stalls by Chikugo vendors are planned at the Chiggo Heso Market, along with about 20 retail and workshop booths by Mizuma local organizations at the Mizuman Market. Events such as the fluffy trampoline popular among children are also planned, offering fun for the whole family. Furthermore, the Business Trip! Jojima Sake Brewery Opening in Mizuma will be held concurrently this year, providing a rare opportunity to savor Japanese sake from breweries participating in the Jojima Sake Brewery Opening. With booths set up by each sake brewery, the event will be even more appealing.
