Held in Chikugo City, Fukuoka Prefecture, the 'Sanshika Illumination & Night Market' is an event held in conjunction with the Mizuta Tenmangu Shrine Sento-myo Fireworks Festival. Sanshika, where Bakumatsu imperial loyalist Maki Izumi (Yasuomi) spent about 10 years and which is also known as the 'Shokasonjuku of Chikugo', will be illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere. At the same time, a night market will be held at the Mizuta District Tourist Parking Lot, featuring 6 food and drink booths and a ring toss corner. You can enjoy a variety of gourmet foods from Kumamoto City, Yame City, Kurume City, and elsewhere, such as fruit soda, pearl ice cream, fruit shaved ice, beer, frozen lemon sour, sausages, jerk chicken, pork belly, Sendai beef tongue skewers, mega-portion yakisoba, Oita fried chicken, fries, fried takoyaki, corn dogs, frozen mikan mandarin oranges, craft beer, Joyo roasted pork, and crepes. It is a special summer night event where you can enjoy the illuminated historical building and the lively market all at once, along with fireworks coloring the night sky.
