26th Yayoi no Sato Music Festival: Piano Anatomy! - Let's Peek Inside the Piano

About this event

Learn about the origins, inner workings, and secrets of the piano from a piano tuner—things you might not usually know! You will get to compare the sounds of two pianos in Spring Hall and see a rare demonstration of a piano being disassembled. Anyone of elementary school age or older may participate, but 1st to 3rd graders must be accompanied by a guardian. Piano tuner Takahiro Yamamoto will serve as the instructor. Participation is free, but advance registration is required. Capacity is 15 participants per session, and a lottery will be held if applications exceed capacity. The application period runs from Saturday, July 4 to Tuesday, August 4 (must arrive by this date).
