JASDF Ashiya Air Base Air Show

About this event

Held annually to commemorate the base's anniversary, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) Ashiya Air Base Air Show is a popular event packed with attractions, including aircraft flight demonstrations, various static aircraft displays on the ground, band performances, and equipment exhibitions. Visitors can also enjoy interacting with base personnel. The 2026 event is scheduled for Sunday, November 15, and will feature an aerobatic flight demonstration by Blue Impulse. Flight displays will feature aircraft such as the T-4, U-125A, UH-60J, F-15, C-2, and T-5 (White Arrows), while the ground exhibition will showcase various aircraft and equipment from both the JASDF and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). Additionally, aerobatic flights by Whiskey Papa, fancy drill performances by air cadet students, and performances by the base taiko drum club and light music club will be presented. Admission is free, but there is no parking available. Shuttle bus service is scheduled to operate.
