Kawakami Gorge Fireworks Festival (2026)

This fireworks festival is held at Kawakami Gorge, a scenic destination known as the "Arashiyama of Kyushu." Approximately 1,500 fireworks will vividly illuminate the night sky around Kanjin Bridge. Furthermore, a heroic "Tezutsu Hanabi" (handheld cylinder fireworks) performance presented by local volunteers will take place, allowing spectators to enjoy an intensely powerful spectacle. On the day of the fireworks festival, conditions such as weather will be checked and decisions on whether to proceed will be made over multiple stages.
