Ishigaki Island's scariest autumn is here again! Celebrating its 6th year, 'Ishigaki's Scariest Haunted House – Hyakki Yagyo 2026 -' once again opens the portal to the 'otherworld' connecting to the afterlife. On Saturday, October 10, a haunted house with Fear Level ★★★★★ (Scariest) offering a truly terrifying experience awaits you for a fee (300 yen per entry). On Sunday, October 11, a free-admission event will be held featuring performers from Ishigaki recruited from the public who appear as ghosts with Fear Level ★☆☆☆☆ (Normal). For those who are not fond of scary things, glowing 'evil-warding amulets' that keep ghosts away are available for free rental. The venue is barrier-free, making it accessible for wheelchair users. Can you endure this fear this autumn...!?
