Oasa Shrine Autumn Annual Festival

The Autumn Annual Festival will be held on Monday, September 14, and Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Oasa Shrine in Oasa Miyamachi, Ebetsu City, Hokkaido. The Yoimiya-sai (eve festival) and Main Festival will take place, and an "Entertainment Evening" is scheduled for both evenings, showcasing various performances by local community groups. Additionally, on Monday, September 14, prior to the Yoimiya-sai, a Children's Mikoshi Parade will tour the Oasa district starting at 8:15 AM. On Tuesday, September 15, starting at 3:00 PM, the "Dedication Children's Sumo Tournament" will be held on the dohyo within the shrine grounds for children aged 5 through 6th grade of elementary school, with prizes prepared. Supported by donations from local residents since the pioneer era, this festival marks a special occasion for those involved, as the full roof repair work of the main sanctuary was completed in fiscal year 2026. For two days only during the festival period, September 14 (Mon) and 15 (Tue), the shrine office window will open to grant special goshuin stamps. The venue is located at 3-2 Oasa Miyamachi, Ebetsu City, Hokkaido, about a 10-minute walk from JR Hakodate Main Line Oasa Station.
