The "2026 Tomabechi Festival" held in Nanbu Town, Aomori Prefecture, is a traditional festival set in the Tomabechi area to pray for a bountiful harvest. The highlight of the festival is the joint parade of floats by the Tomabechi Neighborhood Association, where powerful festival floats parade through the district. Traditional performing arts such as kagura dance and nagashi-odori dance are also performed, creating a lively atmosphere in the area. At the Festival Plaza, a variety of stage events including performances of local folk arts are held to entertain visitors. Furthermore, festival stalls offer local specialties and gourmet foods, providing an opportunity to promote town industries, revitalize the region, and foster community interaction. The eve festival features a special live performance by Amefurashi Quartet, a juggling show, and the Fukuchi Variety Show. The main festival features an ohayashi musical accompaniment contest by Tomabechi float teams, an inter-neighborhood bread-eating race, a pop music show by tribute idol Seina Matsumori, and a mimicry live show by Elvis Toki, offering a full day of varied entertainment.
