About this event
Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the opening of the San Juan Bautista Museum in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, the San Juan Carnival will be held. At the event, Lapras, the Miyagi Support Pokemon, will visit for character greetings, and a giant balloon will be set up. Visitors can also enjoy an original mask-making workshop inspired by traditional Spanish mask carnivals and a cosplay experience limited to elementary school students and younger. Food trucks will also be on site, offering complimentary pizza in limited quantities. Admission to the museum will be free on the day of the event.
