A "Mini Trip" to fully enjoy the autumn harvest and colors will be held in Kawasaki Town, Miyagi Prefecture. Participants can experience harvesting golden ripe rice, plant dyeing using satoyama vegetation, and enjoying a comparative tasting of rich imoni hot pot dishes. Spend an autumn day seeing, touching, and tasting the abundant nature and lifestyle of Kawasaki Town. It is also a valuable chance to hear genuine stories about living in the satoyama from former relocators and learn about parenting in the area. Local Community Vitalization Squad members will carefully guide you. Admission is 2,000 yen for adults (junior high school students and older) and free for children (elementary school students and younger). The price includes activity fees, insurance, and lunch. An additional material fee of 1,000 yen is required if you wish to take home a child's plant-dyed artwork.
