Tendo Park Momiji-en Light-up

At Tendo Park Momiji-en, maple-leaf-shaped sign illuminations have been installed in several locations across the park in addition to standard night lighting required for walking. During the peak season for cherry blossoms and autumn leaves, the trees are lit up, allowing visitors to enjoy magical nighttime autumn foliage. "Momiji-en" is the name of an area that includes walking paths connecting the Atago Pond waterfront recreation space to near the summit of Mount Maizuru. The well-maintained paths separate vehicle and pedestrian traffic, allowing safe walking. The deck stairs and ramp have a total length of 158 meters, and the walking paths total 250 meters. A key feature of the facility is the adoption of construction techniques for the deck substructure that do not require excavation; since the entire Tendo Park is designated as a buried cultural property site, this consideration aims to minimize disruption to the historical landscape. For the concrete paving, brown-toned colored concrete was selected to blend seamlessly with the surrounding natural hues.
