Originating in 2011 with prayers for recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake, "WINE VIN VINO Fukushima 2026 Vol.15" is a wine event marking its milestone 15th edition. It will be held for 3 days from September 20 to 22 at "Machinaka Hiroba" near Fukushima Station. On the day, 9 wineries and 21 restaurants from inside and outside the prefecture will open stalls, allowing visitors to savor attractive wines and unique culinary culture from Fukushima. On the first day, special collaborative projects between restaurants and wineries centered around the southern Tohoku region will unfold, while on the second and third days, restaurants in Fukushima Prefecture and neighboring areas will offer wine and food pairings in their own distinct styles. A vegetable market by farmers from Fukushima City and Date City will also be set up at the venue, where fresh agricultural produce can be purchased. Wine glasses are available for rental (500 yen) or purchase (1,000 yen), and participating in the stamp rally gives a chance to win lavish prizes in a lottery. Admission is free even for non-drinkers, visits solely for meals or soft drinks as well as takeout are welcome, making it an event where you can feel human connection while enjoying conversations with producers and winemakers.
