Okuma Youth Summit

About this event

The Okuma Youth Summit is an exchange platform set in Okuma Town, Fukushima Prefecture, where high school and university students who are involved with or interested in Okuma Town gather. Diverse students engaged in university seminars, clubs, volunteering, research, and regional activities gather beyond the boundaries of schools, regions, and activities. Through networking and dialogue, the summit aims to build a community where students can meet new peers, share their activities and what they want to try, maintain ongoing connections with one another, and take the next step forward. As part of the program, participants can observe plan presentations by students participating in the Reiwa 8 (2026) Okuma Hummingbird Project and learn about their initiatives. In addition, during the dinner networking session, participants will have time to get to know each other while freely talking about self-introductions, their connection to Okuma Town, and what they want to do going forward. Furthermore, in the "Student Summit," understanding of each other's activities will be deepened through pitch presentations by each group, Q&A sessions, and workshops, exploring future collaboration possibilities based around Okuma Town. It can be utilized as a reunion-like gathering place for friends connected through Okuma Town, a venue to meet new companions, or a place to gain support and ideas for activities.
