About this event
A full marathon course covering the entire area of Mito City. Participants can run a scenic course while experiencing the charms of Mito City, including Kairakuen, one of Japan's Three Great Gardens, and Lake Senba, a place of relaxation for citizens. The course is designed to tour tourist attractions in the city, and finishers will receive a medal modeled after an inro (traditional seal case). On the day of the event, traffic restrictions will be in place at various locations throughout Mito City. In addition, the "Machinaka Dining Festival" will be held on the day before and the day of the marathon, where runners can receive special "runner benefits" at participating eateries in the city.
