The Tochigi Prefectural Art Festival marks its 80th edition in Reiwa 8 (2026). This commemorative art exhibition showcases selected and award-winning works by talented artists from across the prefecture. In particular, works of Western-style painting, sculpture, and crafts can be viewed at the Tochigi Prefectural Museum of Fine Arts from Saturday, September 19 to Thursday, October 1, 2026. General admission is 260 yen, which also includes access to the permanent exhibition. Opening hours are from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM (last admission at 4:30 PM). Please note that the museum will be closed on Thursday, September 24 and Monday, September 28. Perfect for the autumn art season, this exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to experience the rich arts of Tochigi. Please come with family or friends to enjoy this diverse collection of works.
