About this event
The Sano YEG Summer Festival, hosted by the Sano Chamber of Commerce and Industry Youth Division (Sano YEG), will be held at Sano Nihon University Junior College in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture. This event lets you fully experience traditional festival elements such as food, fair games, and stage performances while reflecting on the departing summer. The venue is 'Mikamokan' and its surrounding area on the campus of Sano Nihon University Junior College. Indoor rest and dining spaces as well as a toddler care facility are provided, making it comfortable and safe for visitors with small children. The fair stalls feature classic festival games such as shooting galleries, yo-yo fishing, shape cutting (katanuki), and thousand-string lotteries, alongside activities that children are sure to love, such as a 'Treasure Hunt' using a giant water tank and 'Palm Art' for painting handprint fireworks. Food trucks and food stalls offer a wide variety of festival treats including curry, pizza, and shaved ice. A variety of workshops are also planned, offering ample hands-on opportunities. On stage, performances will include routines by the local Sano Nihon University High School brass band and cheerleading club, an appearance by 'Sanomaru', Yagibushi folk music, street performances, brass band concerts, and dance shows. Fair games, food/beverages, and workshops operate on a ticket system; a booklet of 11 tickets (each worth 100 yen) can be purchased at the on-site reception on the day for 1,000 yen.
