"The 4th BON Fest" will be held at Joto Park in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture. Marking its 4th occurrence, this community event enlivens the Oyama Station East Exit area. Fair stalls and food trucks will appear at the venue, offering a variety of gourmet foods such as curry, Taiwanese fried chicken cutlet (da ji pai), crepes, and shaved ice. Additionally, there are plenty of activities for children and adults alike, including workshops, ohayashi musical accompaniment performances and workshops, band performances, and bon odori dancing. Hands-on experiences for children are also well-provided, including baseball tryouts by Joto Club, a fire department pumper truck experience, a chemistry experience by Resonac, wooden camera crafting, and outdoor games. At the end of the event, a raffle where you might win luxurious prizes will be held using the number printed on the round fan given at the reception on the day. The event will be held from 13:00 to 19:00, rain or shine (except during heavy rain), providing a full day to enjoy summer festival vibes along with gourmet food, activities, and music.
