About this event
A family musical adapted and created by Gekidan Tosho based on the original "Sleeping Beauty" by Charles Perrault. Familiar through Tchaikovsky's classical ballet and Disney adaptations, this story is loved by children around the world. A princess and a cook's daughter are born on the same day; while the princess grows up spoiled and selfish under overprotective care, the cook's daughter grows up to be gentle-hearted despite being poor, cherishing her spinning wheel. Cursed by the Black Fairy and pricked by a spindle, the princess is put into a 100-year sleep by the White Fairies, during which she dreams wonderful dreams. In this production, audiences can enjoy an emotional world woven together through acting, singing, and dancing. A backstage tour exclusive to ticket holders will also be held, allowing an up-close look at the stage right before the performance and stage props usually not seen. It is a performance perfect for children's summer vacation memories.
