As a related event to the "Grand Hiroshige Exhibition - The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido and Setsugekka: The Lyric World" held at the Hokkaido Asahikawa Museum of Art, a special lecture entitled "Not Just Landscapes! The Multi-Faceted Talent of Utagawa Hiroshige" will be held. In this lecture, Ms. Noriko Yamamoto, chief curator of the Kawasaki Ukiyo-e Gallery, will be invited as the lecturer to shed light on Utagawa Hiroshige's diverse talents beyond landscape paintings. Hiroshige was an ukiyo-e artist active in the late Edo period, widely known for landscape paintings such as his masterpieces "The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido" and "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo."
