70th Villagehood Anniversary Ceremony and Memorial Concert

Takayama Village was formed in 1956 (Showa 31) through the merger of Takai Village and Yamada Village, reaching its 70th anniversary of municipal establishment on September 30, 2026 (Reiwa 8). Commemorating this historical milestone, the "70th Villagehood Anniversary Ceremony and Memorial Concert" will be held to reflect on history since village establishment, celebrate the start of the next 10 years, deepen the villagers' love for their hometown, and serve as an opportunity to promote regional charm. In Part 1, a commemorative ceremony will take place, featuring an opening performance, village anthem singing, the village mayor's address, guest congratulatory speeches, presentation of mayor awards and certificates of appreciation, and commendations for winners of various contests. In Part 2, a commemorative concert will be held, with diverse performances presented by the Nagano Symphony Orchestra, vocalist Hiroko Ikeno, and the Takayama Junior High School Brass Band. Admission is free, and anyone can participate. Let us all celebrate the 70th anniversary of Takayama Village.
