About this event
Originating from an event previously known as the Nishikawa Festival, the Agano-shuku Festival has been held as the "Agano-shuku Festival" since 2008 (Heisei 20). This festival is an annual gathering where residents around Agano-shuku and people who once lived in Agano come together, offering the charm of an old post town atmosphere. At the concurrently held Agano-shuku Market, local vegetables and specialty goods carefully grown by people near Agano, as well as woodwork made using Nishikawa timber (thinned wood), will be sold directly and on exhibition. The venue is Agano-shuku in Sakaishimachibun, Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture, accessible from Agano Station on the Seibu Chichibu Line. It is located along the old road beside National Route 299. Organized by the Association for Revitalizing Agano-shuku Market and the Association for Revitalizing Agano-shuku and Talking About Agano. This event is a valuable opportunity to taste local blessings while feeling the history and culture of the region.
