About this event
"Hanyu Firefighting Fair 2026" will be held at Hanyu City Fire Department Headquarters in Hanyu City, Saitama Prefecture. Opening the station building to the general public, the event offers a wide range of fire prevention and disaster preparedness experiences, such as fire engine ride experiences, ladder truck boarding and elevation experiences (for elementary school students and older, lottery-based), water fire extinguisher practice, smoke maze experience, earthquake simulation experience, AED and 119 emergency call practice, firefighter gear dress-up experience, water discharge practice, and rope crossing experience. In addition, visitors can watch a Saitama Disaster Prevention Aviation Team helicopter circling above the venue (from around 13:00; subject to cancellation due to weather or emergency dispatches). A stamp rally where collecting stamps around the venue earns commemorative gifts, as well as food truck concessions, will also be available. Admission is free and no advance registration is required.
