The Karatedo Exchange Tournament held as part of "Nenrinpic Sainokuni Saitama 2026" will take place in Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture. Karatedo is a bare-handed combat style sport with two main formats: "Kata" (forms) and "Kumite" (sparring). Originating in Okinawa Prefecture, Karatedo is a "budo sport" that values etiquette and courtesy, and has enthusiasts worldwide as it can be practiced by anyone from young children to seniors. This tournament is held as part of the National Health and Welfare Festival promoting health enhancement and social participation among senior citizens, where representative athletes selected from across the country will demonstrate the results of their daily training. With the Asaka City General Gymnasium as the venue, manager meetings, representative meetings, and exchange matches will be conducted.
