About this event
On Tuesday (public holiday), November 3, 2026, the "RIKEN Wako Open Day 2026" will be held at RIKEN's Wako campus. This is a special single day when portions of research laboratories and experimental facilities that are normally inaccessible are opened once a year to thousands of visitors. This year's theme is "Future Scientists, Assemble!". A diverse program will be held, including exhibitions of the latest research achievements, lectures by researchers, and science lectures that explain cutting-edge science in an easy-to-understand manner. There are also opportunities to freely ask questions and directly interact with researchers, bringing you closer to RIKEN. Alongside researchers, high school communicators will explain exhibits and conduct demonstrations, making the active involvement of high school students who bridge science into the future another key highlight. All visitors interested in science, from young children to adults, are warmly welcomed. Anyone can apply and attend the event.
