Hiking from the Station: Okegawa Shrines & Temples Tour with Roadside Station in Autumn Breeze

This hiking event lets you walk through the rural scenery of Okegawa while feeling the quiet autumn atmosphere and visiting historic shrines and temples. From Okegawa Inari Shrine, where strength stones (chikaraishi) remain, visit Hongakuin, a temple where you can feel the history of Shugendo, and head to Kano Tenjin, which enshrines the god of learning. You can experience a soothing autumn walking route where nature and culture harmonize. No advance reservation is required for this course; please come directly to the starting location during the reception hours during the event period. The start is in front of the ticket gate of Okegawa Station, and reception hours are 9:00 to 11:00. The required time is about 4 hours, and the walking distance is about 9.5 km. The goal deadline is until 16:00. The route includes Okegawa Station, Okegawa Inari Shrine, Yamabushi no Tera Hongakuin, Sakata Yatsuya Ruins Park, Tenjindori Guidepost, Jobon Jobsho Kannon, Hikawa Tenma Shrine, Benibana Furusatokan, Sakata Yakumo Shrine, Matsuyama Inaridori Guidepost, and Daiunji Temple.
