At Nakagawa Yashio Mizube no Gakko in Yashio City, Saitama Prefecture, "Mizube no Gakko Autumn Festival: Learn Disaster Prevention at the Waterside! Play and Prevent Disasters!" will be held. This event aims to help people enjoyably learn useful disaster skills through play in nature. Participants can spend valuable, unique time enjoying activities such as bonfires useful for survival, fire-making and cooking experiences, an underwater walking path experience simulating evacuation during flood disasters, and canoeing to learn waterside safety in a fun way. There are also plenty of activities for children, such as treasure hunting games, disposable chopstick guns, radio-controlled yacht operating experiences, and nature games. In addition, an earthquake simulator vehicle (Kishinsha) will appear, allowing visitors to realistically feel earthquake tremors and raising disaster prevention awareness.
