About this event
The main concert of the 'International Harp Festival 2026 - Soka City', a celebration of the harp held annually in Soka City, Saitama Prefecture, since 1989. This year, the festival reaches its climax featuring guest appearances by Sivan Magen, a world-class top harpist praised as a 'harpist of unmatched range', and Hideki Togi, a gagaku (ancient imperial court music) master who continues to share gagaku with the world and create genre-transcending music. Additionally, the 36th Soka-Nippon International Harp Competition 2026 will be held from November 8 to 14, with the awards ceremony and performances by the winners taking place during the main concert on November 15. In the venue lobby during intermission, a 'Touch the Harp' session by the Lever Harp Ensemble Arpeggio will also be conducted, providing opportunities to touch and play the harp. It is an excellent opportunity to experience approachable yet world-class performances and enjoy autumn in Soka adorned with melody, rhythm, and harmony.
