About this event

Under the theme "More & More Mizutani: Spread Connection and Interaction," the 41st Mizutani Cultural Festival will be held. The exhibition of works will run for one week, serving as a grand stage for local presentations and community exchange. The opening ceremony will feature a chorus by students from Mizutani Elementary School, a tone chime performance by the Hongo Junior High School Cosmos Class, and a live performance by the CBF's Band. The stage program will showcase a variety of acts, including female chorus groups, traditional folk songs, dance, guitar, and vocal performances. The art exhibition will feature elaborate works crafted over time, including cloth zori sandals, illustrated postcards (e-tegami), cloisonne ware, ceramics, calligraphy, and haiku. Food and sales stalls will offer a wide variety of items such as yakisoba, curry and rice, frankfurters, super ball scooping, stewed giblets (motsuni), ancient rice and fresh vegetables, and handmade crafts. The hands-on activity corner will be packed with entertainment for both adults and children, featuring cornhole (baggo), ring toss, strikeout pitch games, health consultations, picture book readings, a tea ceremony (paid), a wadaiko drum workshop, and a beh-goma (traditional spinning top) workshop and tournament.
