42nd Mizutanihigashi Cultural Festival

Under the theme "Rooted in the Community, Connecting to Tomorrow with Radiance," the "42nd Mizutanihigashi Cultural Festival" will be held at the Mizutanihigashi Community Center in Fujimi City, Saitama Prefecture. Serving as a venue to present the results of a year's worth of activities by 19 groups and 12 individuals who use the community center, exhibitions of oil paintings, watercolors, illustrated postcards (etegami), flower arrangements, photography, and works by elementary school students will be displayed. On stage, diverse performances will be presented, including choral singing, harmonica performances, Hawaiian music, hula dancing, gymnastics, tai chi, and musical instrument playing. In addition, mock food stalls such as target shooting, yakisoba, cakes, bread, udon, and omusubi (rice balls) will line the area to entertain visitors. On the 14th, a children's ikebana flower arrangement experience limited to the first 20 participants and a tea ceremony by the Omotesenke school will also be hosted. It is a lively cultural festival that deepens interaction among local residents.
