'Kawajima Lantern Festival 2026', held in Kawajima Town, Saitama Prefecture, is an event that lights up the autumn night sky with fantastical illumination. Under the theme 'Let's Light Up the Night Sky', it will take place at the Heisei no Mori Park Multipurpose Square. As dusk turns to night, sky lanterns are scheduled to be released around 18:00, with gentle lights coloring the night sky. Looking up at the beautiful night sky wrapped in light together with your family, friends, or loved ones is sure to make for an unforgettable autumn day. The event runs from 14:00 to 19:00, and various other activities are scheduled in addition to the sky lantern release. Although general sales for the lanterns are sold out, visitors can enjoy the magical scenery at the venue on the day of the event.
