25th Sakado Citizens' Charity Marathon (50th Anniversary of Municipal Organization)

About this event

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of municipal organization, the "25th Sakado Citizens' Charity Marathon" will be held in Sakado City, Saitama Prefecture. In this event, 5 categories will be held: 10 km, 1.3 km (parent-child), 3 km, 5 km, and children's ekiden (relay race). The venue is around Sakado City General Athletic Park, and the parent-child marathon course has been changed to a 1.3 km loop around Suguro Elementary School so that participants can enjoy running longer. As participation gifts, event-exclusive laundry bags printed with the mascot Sakaron and drinks will be given. Guest runners include Sakado resident runner Mariko Yugeta, who holds the world record in the World Masters W65-69 division, and professional runner Kaori Yoshida, a native of Sakado City, who will liven up the tournament. Although the venue layout will be partially altered due to construction, a venue map is provided. Spectators attending only to cheer are also permitted to park at the Ishii Water Treatment Center.
