About this event
The "40th Okashiwa Festival," held at Ichikawa Municipal Okashiwa Elementary School, is a community festival celebrating its 40th edition this year. On the day, a diverse program that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike is scheduled, including food trucks, food and game stalls, brass band performances, dance, bingo, Eisa Soran Bushi, and a taiko drum competition. Fireworks will also be launched in the finale to light up the summer night sky. It is a handmade festival operated in unity by local residents, with various local organizations and shops participating at the venue. Even in case of rain, it is scheduled to be held on the same day in the Okashiwa Elementary School gymnasium with modified hours and venue setup. It is an ideal event for creating summer memories with family and friends.
