In 2026, Niseko will serve as the first Asian host stage for the 'UCI Gran Fondo World Series (World Championships)', the pinnacle festival of amateur cycling. Along with heated battles unfolding on spectacular courses overlooking Mt. Yotei, the event will feature two types of official road race competitions (Gran Fondo 140 km, Medio Fondo 80 km), a time trial, and a team relay, as well as a Discovery Cycling event open to anyone.
