The 1st edition of the National Specialty Fair JAPAN SELECT Oshi-Umarket 2026 will be held, bringing together top-recommended gourmet specialties from all across Japan. Partnering with regional antenna shops nationwide, this event allows visitors to experience the appeal of all 47 prefectures through food and discover their personal favorites (oshi). The venue is divided into areas for Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto, Chubu, Kinki, Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu-Okinawa, selling a wide variety of recommended regional specialties including sweets, drinks, snacks, and side dishes for rice. In addition to product sales, visitors can enjoy the Appeal Promotion Stage featuring regional mascot characters, the Disaster-Stricken Area Support Corner backing recovery efforts, and Local Government Booths promoting regional attractions. Furthermore, a wide array of attractions are planned, such as the Local Recommended Gourmet Corner offering event-exclusive breads and unique regional items, the World Natural Heritage Support Corner highlighting the appeal of Japan's five World Natural Heritage sites, and the Oshi-Uma Gacha lottery where purchases of 2,500 yen or more offer a chance to win specialty goods. At the 1st edition KITTE Marunouchi venue, food trucks will also be on-site, allowing visitors to savor regional flavors on the spot.
