About this event

The annual autumn event in Ginza, 'Autumn Ginza 2026,' will be held for 19 days from Friday, October 16 to Tuesday (national holiday), November 3, 2026. Marking its 16th edition since starting in 2010, this year's theme is 'Wa (Harmony) - A Peaceful Moment of Relaxation in Ginza.' Set against the backdrop of Ginza streets where diverse values, cultures, and individualities resonate, the event is packed with art, culture, and gourmet offerings. At the 24th 'Gin Chakai,' one of the core projects, visitors can enjoy Japanese tea ceremony experiences at 12 locations around Ginza-dori. Tea ceremony seatings and 'First-Time Tea Ceremony Experiences' will be held by six tea schools (Omotesenke, Urasenke, Mushakojisenke, Edosenke, Enshu-ryu Sado, Wakei Sado Club) and Senchado (steeped green tea). 'Gin Chakai Original Famous Confections 2026,' elaborate sweets created by renowned Ginza shops, will also make an appearance and will be sold at Matsuya Ginza and Ginza Mitsukoshi. In addition, the '17th Student Creative Tea Seating,' which exhibits and constructs original tea seating designs by students, and 'Geidai in Gin Chakai 2026,' which exhibits and sells works by faculty and students from the Craft Department of Tokyo University of the Arts, will be held. Furthermore, the 'Traffic Safety Golden Parade' with nearly 60 years of history, 'Ginza Hatcho Shrine Tour 2026,' Restaurant Week, bar events, and gallery tours are also planned, making it a glamorous autumn festival unique to Ginza that adults and children alike can thoroughly enjoy.
