Announced on the Bunkyo Ward official website, "Bunkyo Expo 2026 (Bunpaku)" will be held over two days on Friday, November 13, and Saturday, November 14, 2026, with the Bunkyo Civic Center as the main venue. This event brings together small and medium-sized enterprises and industry organizations within the ward to showcase the appeal of Bunkyo Ward's industry, commerce, and traditional crafts through exhibitions, demonstrations, and product sales. Visitors can experience various industries within the ward and discover new charms of Bunkyo Ward. The venue is divided into the Bunkyo Civic Center's basement 2nd floor (Ward Residents' Square, passageways) and 1st floor (Gallery Civic, Art Salon), where diverse exhibitors offer products and services leveraging their distinct specialties. Offerings include medicinal confectionery, health foods, handmade breads, enzyme drinks, baked goods, organic foods, Hasami ware tableware, Japanese and Western confectionery, prepared dishes, bento boxes, unagi (eel) bento boxes, miso nikomi udon, pot-au-feu, hand esthetic treatments, and cosmetics sales. In addition, specialty product sales and tourism PR booths will be featured for Uonuma City, Morioka City, Ishioka City, Fukuyama City, Koshu City, Tsuwano Town in Shimane Prefecture, Kanazawa City, and Kumamoto Prefecture. The event will also feature university and vocational school industry-academia collaboration initiatives, traditional craft exhibitions and sales, and workshops, making it an event that revitalizes local industry and inspires new discoveries.
