MEET SUMIDA 2026

About this event

"MEET SUMIDA 2026" is an event where you can experience the craftsmanship appeal of Sumida Ward. Taking place at Tokyo Skytree Town's SKYTREE SPACE and Solamachi Hiroba, the event features artisan demonstrations, workshops, and the sale and display of outstanding products from Sumida Ward. Visitors can enjoy diverse content, including "Sumida 3M Movement" workshops such as leather craft, folding screen (byobu) making, and glass router engraving, collaborative projects with Taiwanese cities (Taipei, Hsinchu, and Tainan), as well as exhibitions and workshops by the Tokyo Knit Fashion Industry Association. Demonstrations of traditional crafts that Sumida Ward prides itself on are also scheduled, and visitors can pick up the "How to Walk Sumida: Immersed in Edo" leaflet to take a stroll around the town of Sumida. A raffle drawing will also be held at the venue for those who complete a survey or bring an event flyer.
