About this event

The Halloween event "BLUE HALLOWEEN 2026" of the "Sumidagawa Marche", now in its 4th year, will be held across two days at Sumida Park on both the Sumida Ward and Taito Ward sides facing each other across the Sumida River. On Saturday, October 31, a children's fashion show will take place at Soyokaze Hiroba in Sumida Park on the Sumida Ward side, where children in their chosen costumes will express their individuality on stage. On Sunday, November 1, activities such as a mini Halloween parade and an icing cookie workshop are scheduled in the Hanakawado area of Sumida Park on the Taito Ward side. On both days, a market of about 40 stalls offering food, drinks, and handmade goods will be present, providing a weekend where visitors can enjoy shopping while children express themselves through their own ideas and try new things. The name "BLUE" comes from the blue of the Sumida River waterside and blue pumpkins, which also symbolize the "Teal Pumpkin Project" that promotes safe Halloween enjoyment for children with food allergies. More than just buying and selling goods, this market values people meeting face-to-face and sharing time and space together, aiming to be a place where children and local community members can naturally interact.
