72nd Oi Dontaku Summer Festival

About this event

Held once a year along the Oimachi Station-front Chuo-dori Avenue and its surrounding areas, the 72nd Oi Dontaku Summer Festival is a major summer event where the entire street in front of the station becomes the venue. A wide variety of events will take place, including stage performances, Bon Odori dancing, and tribute concerts. In addition, numerous stalls such as food trucks will line the street, allowing visitors to fully enjoy music, dancing, and delicious gourmet food. In 2026, it will be held over 2 days on August 22 (Sat) and 23 (Sun), bustling with activity from 14:00 to 20:00. In particular, on August 22 (Sat), Zao Gongen Taiko drumming is scheduled from 17:15, Bon Odori dancing from 18:00, and on August 23 (Sun), tribute concerts will be held from 14:00. Admission is free.
