Meguro River Dream Festival 2026 Summer

About this event

Using the summer Meguro River as a canvas, projection mapping artworks created by local students will illuminate the night sky. Artworks created by three schools—Shinagawa Municipal Hino Gakuen, Shinagawa Girls' School Junior & Senior High School, and Seisen University—will be projected onto the riverbanks and water surface of the Meguro River. On the day of the event, a night market will open from 5:00 PM, featuring the Shinagawa Tourism Association booth, a diverse variety of food trucks, and stylish market stalls. This year, a trial session for the Finnish sport Molkky will make its first appearance, providing participants an easy opportunity to have fun. Furthermore, a traditional festival corner will feature target shooting (shateki), boosting the summer festival atmosphere. Free rentals of NAKED Distance Lanterns (R) that project light onto the ground will also be available, creating a magical space. With a lantern in hand, you can fully enjoy the dream festival in an artistic mood. Projection mapping will be shown repeatedly from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, allowing you to enjoy a magical night along the Meguro River.
