Meguro River Dream Festival 2026 Summer is an event where projection mapping works created by students attending local schools are projected onto the Meguro River revetments and water surface, using the nighttime Meguro River as a canvas. Celebrating its 5th edition this year, art pieces produced by students from three schools—Shinagawa Municipal Hino Gakuen, Shinagawa Joshi Gakuin Junior and Senior High School, and Seisen University—will captivate visitors with magical lighting effects. A night market will be held concurrently, featuring food trucks and stylish market stalls where you can enjoy a wide variety of gourmet foods and miscellaneous goods. Furthermore, a trial session for the Finnish sport Mölkky will make its debut this year, offering participants a casual opportunity to experience the sport. At the traditional festival booth corner, you can enjoy target shooting, and free rentals (limited quantity) of NAKED Distance Lanterns®, which project light onto the ground, will add color to your magical night stroll. The projection mapping will be screened repeatedly, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful scenery over and over again. The event will proceed in light rain, but will be cancelled in case of stormy weather, so please check the latest information.
