About this event

This workshop visits three churches standing in the town of Meguro to explore the beauty of church architecture and pipe organs. Participants will focus on the highlights and spatial beauty of each church, listen to the resonance of the pipe organs, and discover their respective charms through photography sessions. Along with getting to know the churches from both architectural and musical perspectives, participants can also learn photography techniques for capturing spaces. This workshop is taught by artist, architect, and photographer Motohiko Suzuki, and Ferris Jogakuin President Yo Akioka. Participants will visit three churches: Catholic Himonya Church (Salesian Church), St. Paul's Church of the Nippon Sei Ko Kai Diocese of Eastern Japan, and St. Anselm's Meguro Catholic Church. The event is open to junior high school students and older who can bring a smartphone or digital camera capable of taking photos.
