This is the autumn festival of Tokiwadai Tenso Shrine, an establishment long cherished by the local community and located in Minamitokiwadai, Itabashi Ward. Familiar since ancient times as the guardian shrine of Kami-Itabashi Village, the entire neighborhood becomes brimming with energy centering on the annual festival. Please enjoy the lively and heartwarming atmosphere unique to a local festival during your weekend outing. During the festival period, around 100 street stalls will line the shrine grounds and surrounding areas, offering classic foods such as yakisoba, takoyaki, and shaved ice, as well as traditional festival games like shooting galleries and goldfish scooping, providing plenty of entertainment for both children and adults. The sound of traditional festival music (hayashi) echoes, instantly immersing the streets of Tokiwadai in a festive mood. On Saturday, September 19, children's mikoshi and floats will gather at the sacred sake pavilion around 14:15. On Sunday, September 20, children's mikoshi and floats will gather around 9:45, and adult mikoshi around 12:30 at the sacred sake pavilion. In addition, the joint neighborhood mikoshi procession and shrine entry (miyairi) will take place from around 16:15. Admission is free.
