About this event
Held under the theme of "A Bridge for Everyone: 'Creative City Itabashi,'" the Itabashi Citizens Festival will take place over two days on Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, 2026, where residents, businesses, and organizations take center stage to interact and share 'Creative City Itabashi' by generating new culture and vibrant energy. In the Festival Plaza (Omatsuri Hiroba), a wide array of activities will unfold, including the Opening Parade, Itabashi Sengoku Picture Scroll Warrior Procession, Takashima-ryu Artillery Demonstration, Ward Residents Dance, Yosakoi and Hanagasa Dance, Awa Dance, Music Parade, Samba Carnival, Itabashi Children's Cultural Festival 2026, Folk Dance Parade, Ohayashi music and Children's Mikoshi (portable shrine), and Kiyari chanting with Adult Mikoshi. In addition, areas such as the Rakuichi-Rakuza Plaza/Culture Plaza, Mind-Technique-Body Plaza, Sports Plaza, Hometown Plaza/Greenery Plaza, SDGs Plaza (with various food stalls and booths), Living Plaza, and Picture Book Town Plaza (with merchandise sales, creators market, and more) are scheduled, making it an event where visitors can experience the charm of Itabashi through diverse festivities.
