Held in Ome City, Tokyo, 'Sawanoi Brewery Opening 2026' is an annual new sake festival. Taking place across venues including Ozawa Brewery, Gyokudo Art Museum, and Rengado Akatonbo, it will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 9:00 to 15:30. At the special sake tasting corner, visitors can sample 5 carefully selected Sawanoi sakes, and limited-edition sake as well as local specialty products will be on sale. There are plenty of one-day-only events such as komomaki demonstrations, workshops, and live stage performances. In the sake brewery area, guests can enjoy light meals and shops at Sawanoien, limited menus at Mamagotoya and Mameraku, and drinks at CAFE Shizuku. In the Akatonbo area, a food stall village will be set up along with a souvenir plaza gathering specialty products from Ome and Okutama. At the Gyokudo Art Museum, visitors can view works by Gyokudo Kawai and enjoy garden concerts. Purchasing the Mankitsu Sacoche (1,000 yen) grants access to the sake tasting corner, admission to the Gyokudo Art Museum, a special sake cup (ochoko), and an original sacoche bag.
