About this event
Held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Technology Research Institute Tama Techno Plaza, Tama Techno Fair 2026 is an open-house event for the Tama Techno Plaza facility, a hub supporting development-oriented manufacturing industries by strengthening technical support for local small and medium-sized enterprises. Admission is free, with a wide variety of programs available, including exhibitions, demonstrations, and workshops. There are abundant opportunities to experience the latest technologies, such as an introduction to the great power of small fuel cells, demonstrations of how braided cords (kumihimo) and knitwear are made, product waterproofing demonstrations, and radiated emission measurements. In addition, there is a workshop where parents and children can enjoy creating original drawstring bags using heat-transfer printing. Another highlight is the opportunity to tour facilities normally closed to the public, such as the Composite Material Development Site and the EMC Site. This event allows visitors to discover trends in the latest technology and experience the joy of manufacturing.
