About this event
This is a walking event touring various cultural assets in Chofu City from Keio Line Chofu Station to Jindai Botanical Gardens Aquatic Botanical Garden. Amid scenery where Tama's nature and culture thrive, participants can experience the town's charm and historical depth. The tour visits Fuda Tenjin Shrine, Salesian Theologate, Jindai-ji Temple, Jindai-ji Castle ruins, and more. The walking distance is approximately 6 kilometers, and joining or leaving halfway through is not permitted. The event will proceed in light rain but will be cancelled in severe weather. Participants should prepare their own lunch, and free time will be provided at Jindai-ji Temple. The event runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, meeting at 9:45 AM in front of the Police Box at the Plaza Exit of Keio Line Chofu Station. Capacity is 20 participants, with a lottery held in the case of excess applications. Participation is free of charge. Warm clothing, a water bottle, rain gear, and lunch are recommended items to bring, and participants are asked to wear comfortable walking clothes. Applications are accepted from Monday, September 28 to Wednesday, October 14, 2026 via the application form or 2D barcode.
